KEEN Seacamp II CNX Kids' Sandals Review: Prep & Kindy Favourite

In our everyday experience, the KEEN Seacamp II CNX handles that combination extremely well. The black design looks neat enough for many school settings, but the open webbing keeps it more breathable than a fully enclosed black school shoe.

The balance between openness and protection is the main reason these shoes work for us. Air can move around the foot, so Sebastian's feet do not become as hot as they can in a conventional closed shoe. At the same time, the front remains covered and the shoe holds the foot securely.

Durability has also been excellent. These shoes last a long time despite the kind of daily treatment children's footwear receives. That matters because a cheaper shoe is not good value if it quickly loses its shape or needs replacing.

Do schools allow black KEEN sandals?

In our experience, many schools with a uniform accept this type of black shoe for Prep or Kindy. The mostly black appearance is understated and can work well with a school uniform.
