I am happy with the ATOMSTACK A5 Pro V2 5W. Assembly was simple, operation was easy and the laser produced good-quality results with clear detail on the materials I tested: wood, leather and coated aluminium cards. The AtomStack app works, but it is the part of the experience I would most like to see improved.
A small diode laser should make it easy to move from an idea to a finished engraving without turning setup into the main project. The A5 Pro V2 did that well for me. The frame was uncomplicated to assemble, the controls were approachable and I was able to start testing different materials without a steep learning curve.
